A series of storms is likely to bring snow to North Idaho and Northeastern Washington through Wednesday, the National Weather Service said. The first storm will move quickly through the area and produce moderate accumulations for regional valleys this morning before turning to rain. Gusty winds today could produce blowing snow in the mountains along U.S. Highway 195 and Interstate 90 to Lookout Pass. Storms will continue to bring rain and snow to the area Wednesday and Thursday, the weather service said. In Spokane and Coeur d’Alene, snow showers were expected until around 11 a.m., followed by rain and snow, with the snow level rising to around 2,800 feet. Highs in the low- to mid-40s were expected with gusty winds up to 36 mph in places.
