After years of suffering with heart problems, kidney transplants, failing eye-sight and diabetes, Linda died peacefully, at her sister’s home March 19, 2012, surrounded by her family.

She was born February 15, 1948 in Nespelem, WA, the ninth child of Milo and Millie Abrahamson.

She grew up in Ford, WA and graduated from high school in Springdale.

After high school she moved to Spokane, attended business school and later worked at the American Indian Center.

She was a member of the Spokane Tribe of Indians and an active member of St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Ford.

Linda had an extensive collection of Panda bears, enjoyed her back yard, flowers, gardening and her church family.

She is survived by her sister Delores Smallwood in Spokane; brothers Jim Abrahamson in Keller, WA, Irv (Millie) Abrahamson in Plummer, ID, Tom (Doris) Abrahamson in Spokane, Melvin Abrahamson in Ford.

She was loved very much by her MANY nieces and nephews.

Linda was predeceased by her parents, sister Phil Covington and two brothers John (Buck) and Magnus (Gus).

We send many thanks to the doctors and nurses at Dr. Wickre and Dr. Stagman’s office, for their many years of caring for her.

We will celebrate her life with a rosary Friday, March 23rd, at 7pm at St. Philip Benizi Church, Ford, WA and a Funeral Mass at 10am, March 24th at the same location.

Burial will be at Hubert Cemetery.
