BAUGH, Rev.

Dr. Odin A.


Was born to Fred and Luella (Thurston) Baugh on December 24, 1918 in Nevada, Missouri.

He retired to his Heavenly home on March 18, 2012.

As a young child he moved west.

Rev.

Baugh grad-uated from Wenatchee High School and in 1939 he enrolled in Whitworth College.

During World War II he entered the Army and was assigned to the 98th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion.

His battalion was part of the convoy that invaded the Gilbert Islands and participated in the invasion of Okinawa.

He returned to Whitworth in 1946.

He graduated from Whitworth in 1947 and from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1950.

He served as a pastor for churches in Washington and Montana for 34 years.

Dr. Baugh retired in 1985 and resided at Holman Gardens Retirement Community.

The family surviving him include his wife, Deede, at Holman Gardens, Spokane Valley; his daughter, Michelle, and her husband, Dr. Keith Carpenter, of Kent; son, Greg, and his wife Tanya, from Oregon City, OR.

He has three grandchildren, Kirk (Kathy), Jeff, and Marisa.

He is also survived by a sister, brother, sister-in-law and numerous nephews and nieces.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 1:00pm at Opportunity Presbyterian Church, 202 N. Pines Rd.

Spokane Valley, WA.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Baugh Family Scholarship Fund at Whitworth University or Opportunity Presbyterian Building Fund.
