Obituary: Lawrence, Gregory S.

Age 55

LAWRENCE,
Gregory S.
12/27/1956 -
02/29/2012

Gregory S. Lawrence died unexpectedly at his home in Spokane, WA, on February 29, 2012.

Gregory was born in Boston, MA.

He never married, nor had children; but make no mistake, he was a family man.

Throughout his life, Greg moved to be closer to family members and pursue his entrepreneurial dreams.

Ultimately, Greg moved to Washington to help care for his mother, Helen, and to assume the role he was probably best known for amongst his family and friends, caretaker.

Gregory had a penchant for food, fun, and adventure.

Whether riding a motorcycle, playing cards, or organizing activities for his nieces and nephews, he was always on the move, and there was never a dull moment.

His endless playbook of activities in combination with energy and giving spirit made him a hero amongst his nieces and nephews, as well as a great brother, and in-law.

Everyone always looked forward to a visit from Greg; most visits included a walk and ice cream.

Greg’s laid back disposition and desire to have fun allowed him to experience all that was great in life and to bring it to others.

Predeceased by his parents Helen E. and John W. Lawrence and brothers John and Lincoln.

He is survived by his brothers Proctor (Margy Pat) and Mark (Dorothy); sisters-in-law Nancy and Elssy; as well as his loving nieces and nephews: John Lawrence, Cheryl Lawrence-Fullerton, David Lawrence, Jason Lawrence, Dana Forsythe, Elssy Klug, Lincoln Lawrence, Jr., Andrew Lawrence, Mark Lawrence, and Gregory Lawrence.

A Memorial Service will be held, Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 2:00 pm at St. Andrews Episcopal Church at 2404 N. Howard St. Spokane, WA 99205.
