Doreen T. (Berray) Vaughn passed from this life after a short battle with cancer.

She was born in San Francisco, CA the only child of Dora and Jack Berray.

She lived most of her young years there and in Washington State.

She met and married Wesley L. Vaughn, and lived in Renton, Snohomish, and Spokane, WA.

They also lived for a time in Athol, ID.

Wes passed away last April.

They are survived by their four children, John L. Vaughn, and Karen Oldmixon of Spokane, Jeff Vaughn and wife Lori of Lewiston, ID and Robin Keith and husband Rick of Everett.

She is also survived by four grandchildren and six great grand children.

Doreen was instrumental in starting a 4-H Dog program in Snohomish County in the late 1950’s and was actively involved with kids and their dogs until 1970.

Doreen worked many jobs over the years but the one she was most proud of was as a production scheduler and manager at Keytronic Corp.

Since her retirement she spent her days with her family, playing on her computer and visiting the local casinos.

We want you to know that our mom was one heck of a terrific lady.

Always there for her family and friends, loved by many.

We can’t thank Hospice House of Spokane enough for the loving care provided to her in her last days.

Donations can be made to them in her memory.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 2:00 PM at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 330 E. Boone, Spokane, WA.
