Alvin
(Age 91)

Passed into the arms of our Lord with his family by his side on March 20, 2012.

He was born February 21, 1921 in Salem, OR to Alvin Sr. and Bernice Hilfiker.

He met Dorothy Knoles in High School Band class where they both played clarinet.

They were married June 1, 1941 and lived in Greenacres, WA since 1948.

Alvin served in the South Pacific during World War II in the 96th Infantry.

Alvin and Dorothy had a chicken ranch on 32nd and Conklin from 1948 to 1968.

They lived in various locations in the Spokane Valley before settling in Greenacres.

Preceded in death by his loving wife Dorothy, and his parents.

Survived by his three children Ronald, Sheila, and Lynn, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Also survived by his sister, Ardis, nieces and nephews, and many close friends.

He was a member of East Valley Presbyterian Church and Maverick Sam’s.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Good Samaritan Community Center.

Private family burial will take place today at Pines Cemetery.
