KENNEDY, Sandy

Sandy Kennedy, nĂŠe Verzuh, passed away at her home on March 15, 2012, with her sister and daughters at her side.

Born March 24, 1944 in Helena, Montana, Sandy moved to Spokane to attend Gonzaga University.

She was a homemaker and busy volunteer during her married life.

Once divorced, she became a STRIVE vocational trainer with Spokane School District until she retired.

Sandy ran 33 consecutive Bloomsdays.

She enjoyed her garden and meals with friends.

Sandy is survived by her sister Cathy Aguilera; daughters Janine and Erin Kennedy; grandsons Jack and Adam Fukuda; aunt Mrs. Lois Hughes, and numerous other family members and friends.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 24, 2012, the anniversary of her birth, at the Lincoln Center, 1316 N. Lincoln, in Spokane.

The family is grateful to Sandy’s many friends, who helped care for her - both in word and deed - during her last weeks, and to Hospice of Spokane.

Sandy was thoughtful and kind and adored by all.

She will be missed.
