Paper has no guts

Hello, Raging Grannies.

Well, ladies, seems like The Spokesman-Review decided to cancel last week’s Doonesbury strip.

It’s on those sonograms before an abortion.

If you’d like to see the strip to see for yourself how “offensive” the strip is – here it is: http://www.doonesbury.com/strip/ archive/2012/03/12

Just click the “next” and “previous” buttons for the whole week’s strip.

Here’s part of the excuse The Spokesman Review has posted on their rag: “The Spokesman-Review has chosen not to publish the Doonesbury comic strip series this week on the Texas abortion law, opting for a series of substitute panels offered by the syndicate that distributes the strip. At last count, nearly 60 newspapers across the country have decided not to use the controversial strip.”

OK, so if that angers you then, please write to the editor. This email is addressed to him.

I am also cc’ing a reproductive rights organization to let them know that the Spokane newspaper, The Spokesman-Review, has no guts!
