Betty A. McDowell, 92 of Coeur d’Alene passed away March 15, 2012 in the care of Hospice of North Idaho.

She was born April 6, 1919 in Oakland, California.

In her younger years she had a chance to travel to Guam and Hong Kong.

Upon moving to Idaho, she enjoyed many travels with the Rambling Rovers and was active in the Ladies Auxiliary VFW.

Betty also enjoyed traveling the world with her granddaughter, Vicki and her husband.
Betty is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Sandra Urie of Sacramento, CA and Greg and Dalyn McDowell of Hayden, ID; granddaughters and husbands, Vicki Urie and John Hoffman of Sacramento, CA, Pam and Chris Ryan of Sacramento, CA, Jessica McDowell and Carlos Velazquez of Ashland, OR, Danielle McDowell of Coeur d’Alene, ID and Melissa and Skyler Thompson of Sandpoint, ID; great-grandchildren, Brendan Ryan, Rylan Velazquez and Steven Hoffman.
At Betty’s request no services will be held.
