Washington State spent a long, productive day in the Los Angeles area Monday.
After smacking around No. 6 UCLA 10-4 in the windup of a rain-delayed Pac-12 series to snap a four-game losing streak, the Cougars (12-10, 2-4 Pac-12) followed with an 11-1 win at Long Beach State.
Ty Jackson and Adam Nelubowich each homered and drove in three runs for the Cougars, who scored nine runs in the first two innings against the Bruins, as WSU averted being swept by UCLA.
