Obituary: Harty, Lyle E.

Age 85

HARTY,
Lyle E.
(Age 85)

Was born October 7, 1926 and entered into rest on March 23, 2012.

Lyle was a very loving and caring husband to wife, Alice Harty.

They only got to share their lives for a very short time, but he brought her joy.

He leaves behind his adopted daughter, Connie Harden; two grandsons, Wade and Britt Harden; one granddaughter, Nicole Morgan and five great grandchildren; his step daughter, Chris Hill and her husband John; step sons, Henry Leen, Howard and his wife Tina Leen.

Lyle was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucy; son, James; his parents; five sisters; and seven brothers.

He will truly be missed by family and friends.

Lyle served his country proudly in the US Navy during WWII.

He owned his own plumbing business and was a very active man.

Lyle was able to retire at the early age of 55, and he and his first wife loved to spend time at their place on Bayview.

They eventually bought a winter home in Happy Trails, AZ and would return to Deer Lake during the summers.

Lyle loved playing the guitar and singing, and you could often find him at the hospital or nursing homes sharing that love.

He was a member of North Hill Masonic Lodge #210, the Scottish Rite Bodies, El Katif Shrine and enjoyed his time with the organizations.

Lyle would light up when a child would come to visit.

His love for his family and friends will never be forgotten.

Lyle had one extra love in his life and that was his best friend and companion, Gizmoe.

That dog could do no wrong and deserved every meal and treat Lyle had.

There will be no funeral; the family will hold a memorial this summer to celebrate his life.

RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY 4305 N. Division Spokane, WA assisting the family.
