(Age 92)

Our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great- grandmother and friend passed away peacefully on March 24, 2012.

Carol was born in 1920 to Richard and Mary Becker in Menomenee Falls, Wisconsin.

After high school she met and married James F. Hough in LaCrosse, Wisconsin in 1942.

Carol and Jim and their five children lived for a time in California and the Seattle area before moving to Spokane in 1963.
Carol was a generous, kind-hearted woman who devoted 25-plus years volunteering at Sacred Heart outpatient department, singing in her church choir and helping others in countless ways.

She cherished time spent with her family and friends, playing Scrabble (and seldom losing!)

and playing the piano.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her older brother Frank and younger sister Jayne, husband Jim (1973) and daughter Mary (2000).

She is survived by her sister Ruth Becker of Daly City, California, her sister-in-law Lu Becker of LaCrosse, Wisconsin and by her four sons: Jim (Karyn), John (Ellen), Pat (Jeanne) and Tom.

She leaves 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family is grateful for the loving care she received these past years by the staff at St. Joseph Care Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 31, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 34th Avenue and Perry Street.
