Ronald D.

Ron passed away March 1, 2012 at the age of 64, to be with his Savior.

He was born to Fred and Lois McRae on April 3, 1947, in Wilbur.

Ron attended Creston Elementary School and finished junior high and high school in Wilbur.

He joined the US Army in 1966 and spent his tour in Vietnam.

After returning home from duty, he went to work at the Lincoln Saw Mill until the mill shut down in 1981.

Ron then went to work for the Bureau of Reclamation at Grand Coulee Dam and later transferred to Socorro, New Mexico, as a heavy equipment operator.

In the early 1990s, Ron transferred to Mt.

Rainier National Park to be closer to home and family.

Due to health problems, Ron took an early disability retirement and moved back to Wilbur in the late 1990s where he lived until his death.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Lois McRae and one sister CoAnn Sunwold.

He is survived by two daughters, Erin Olsen and Laura (Brian) Peterson and two brothers, Fred (Karen) McRae and Rick (Barb) McRae.

Services will be held at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery at Medical Lake on April 3, 2012, at 3:00PM.
