Age 56

BENSON,
Naomi E.

Naomi E. Benson was called to the Lord’s side on March 22, 2012, after a valiant battle with cancer.

Naomi was surrounded by her family and friends as she left this world and was received by family and friends in the next.

Naomi was born May 16, 1955 in Bozeman, MT to Clifford and Myrtle Parsons.

Naomi lived in many places throughout her life, but for the last seventeen years called the Medical Lake area her home.

Naomi loved the sun, sand, and surf.

She was always happiest when the sun was on her face, her toes were in the sand, and she was surrounded by friends and family.

She was a member of the Friends of Children organization, and passionate about helping others.

Naomi is survived by her daughter, Jodi Benson of Spokane, WA, and her fiancĂŠe Amy Williamson of Victoria, BC, Canada, her son and daughter-in-law, Kasey and Sheila Benson of Cheney, WA, and by her five grandchildren, Jordyn and Gabriel Giard, and Makenna, Austin, and Tyler Benson.

She is also survived by her sisters Judy Kinyon of Hermiston, OR, and Linda Mitchell of Columbia Falls, MT, and by many members of her Ya-Ya Sisterhood.

Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Myrtle Parsons, her brother Monte Parsons, and a sister, Janet Nichols.

Naomi was a loved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Friend who fought bravely and defiantly maintained her independence.

A memorial service is being planned for Friday, March 30th at 3:00 at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Medical Lake.

A celebration of life gathering will follow the memorial service at the Masonic Hall in Medical Lake.

The family would like to thank everyone for their kind and generous support during this time.

Per Naomi’s wishes, always remember the beauty of life and live life to the fullest.
