Jack is survived by his amazing daughter Kaitlyn; ex-wife Peggy; daughters, Sierra and Sakai; grandson Karsyn; mother Debbie; mother Aileen; brothers Bill, Walt, and Sean; and sisters LaTresha and Stephanie; as well as countless nieces and nephews, relatives and close friends who all loved him dearly.
He is joining his father Bill Sr. in Heaven.
Jack was born October 31, 1966.
He lived his life in Western Montana where he shared his love of the outdoors with his family and friends - hunting, fishing and living life to its fullest.
In 1998 Jack’s world was filled with sunshine and joy when his daughter Kaitlyn was born.
As with everything he did in life, Jack seized the opportunity to excel at fatherhood.
Jack and Kaitlyn were more than father and daughter; they were best friends, hunting partners, and a comedy team.
Kaitlyn has inherited all of Jack’s best qualities including his quick wit.
Jack Galahan was a hero right out of a western novel.
Tough as nails with a quick iron fist, fair and compassionate, Jack was the glue that held friends and family together, the life of every party and a great hunter and sportsman.
Jack taught us all how life should be lived and how people should be treated, regardless of who they were.
Jack was a Zen Redneck, happy to share his opinions with you, but your friend regardless of how wrong your opinions might be.
Jack was very proud to be a Journeyman Ironworker and a member of Local 14.
Please join Jack’s family and friends for a celebration of his life Saturday, March 31, 1:00 p.m. at GARDEN CITY FUNERAL HOME, 1705 W. BROADWAY, MISSOULA, MT .
Reception immediately following at Heritage Hall, 30 Fort Missoula Road.
In Lieu of flowers, Jack’s family request you make a contribution in honor of Jack to Kaitlyn’s college account set up at 1st Citizens Bank of Polson, 213 1st Street West, Polson, MT 59860, 406-883-4358.
Jack will live on in the hearts and memories of all his family and friends, especially in the eternal love of his daughter Kaitlyn and all that she accomplishes in life.
Jack you always had my back…..I guess you always had everyone’s back - that was the measure of who you were.
Thanks for letting us all ride along!
