Age 78

NORTH, Robert L. “Bob”

A loving husband, dad and grandpa went to be with our Lord Jesus on Saturday, March 24th at 10:00 am surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren.

He was born in Gatliff, Kentucky on July 17, 1933 to Sarah and Albert North.

He has a twin sister Betty now residing in Tennessee and was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two older sisters.

While serving in the USAF, he met his wife of 57 ½ years, Betty J.

Coffee, in Biloxi, Mississippi in 1954.

They were married November 11, 1954 in Louisiana.

They have five children: Mike, Shari (Denny) Cunningham and grandson Kellon Cunningham, Gary (Paulla) North and granddaughter Reshawna North, Kevin, and Tina (Mark) Laxton and grandson Logan Laxton.

They have nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He served in the Air Force with the Atlas and Thor missile programs, A and E Squadrons at Fairchild AFB and other bases in the USA and England.

He retired in 1973 with 21 ½ years of service.

Bob was a deacon at the Airway Heights Baptist Church and was a member there with his wife Betty since 1959.

He was a good and faithful servant for the Lord!

Celebration of Bob’s life will take place at Airway Heights Baptist Church on Monday, April 2, 2012, at 1:00 pm followed by a graveside service at Washington State Veterans Cemetery at 3:00 pm.

A viewing will be held from Noon to 5:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home on Friday, March 30, 2012.
