RANDOLPH, Wava Adeen
Also known as “Deen”, passed away peacefully in her home March 22 at the age of 89. Deen was born 2-23-23 in Seldon, Kansas, the daughter of Grace and Fay Bishop. She is survived by her husband, Junior; daughter, Darla (Sam) Andrews Spokane, WA; sons, Rick (Joyce) Bishop Ilwaco, WA and Alex (Linda) Bishop Millwood, WA; grandchildren, Danny, Joey (Rikki), Hillary, Sammy, Tricia, Tim, and Matt; and great-grand-children Cameron, Bryan, Marissa, Allie, Quincy, Reese (Maggie), Lilyanna, and Isaiah. She was proceeded in death by brothers Dayton, Chet, and Alex; and sister, Rita. Following her mother’s death, she left school after the 8th grade to help raise her younger brother and sister. She was married in 1946 and in 1955 moved to the Spokane Valley. For 29 years she was self-employed in day care helping to raise two generations of children. Her life and interests revolved around spending quality time with her family. Her hobbies included playing cards of all kinds, dancing with her husband, Junior, gardening, and embroidery. She was a member of the VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary, the Berean Bible Church in the Spokane Valley, and volunteered with Mops (Mothers of Preschoolers) also with the Berean Church.
Blessed with a nurturing spirit, she touched the lives of many people and will be missed greatly. The family wants to especially thank Georgiana Degenstein, Katie Lund, and the rest of the Hospice workers for making her last days easier. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 31, at 1:00PM at Hazen & Jaeger Valley Funeral Home, 1306 N. Pines Road, Spokane Valley.
