Walla Walla sweeps CC Spokane in baseball

Walla Walla Community College swept Community Colleges of Spokane in a baseball doubleheader Wednesday, winning 3-1 and 7-1 at Spokane Falls.

The Sasquatch were outhit 20-7 on the day. Anthony Pitsch had a double in each game for CCS.

Track and field

Idaho senior Andrew Blaser is in 10th place in the men’s decathlon through five events at the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas. Two of his best events – the 110-meter hurdles and pole vault – are today.

Arena football

The Spokane Shock activated linebacker Beau Bell from the Other League Exempt list. He will be eligible to play Friday when the Shock host San Jose.
