Joan M.
1929 - 2012

Joan was born in Burlington, Iowa, to John McKitterick and Frances Mitchell McKitterick.

She was married in 1946 to Roger Swearingen and had three children, Barbara, Susan and Mark.

In 1962, she married Dr. C. Harold Einecke in Spokane and had one daughter, Heidi.

Joan worked for the State of Washington as a Support Enforcement Officer in Spokane, Vancouver and Everett until she retired.

Her retired life was spent in Kirkland and Woodinville.

She had a beautiful voice and was a soloist in the choir at St. John’s Cathedral for many years, and she was an avid sewer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Einecke, and her daughter, Susan M. Swearingen.

Mom’s wonderful sense of humor, her laugh, and her ability to encourage and support us kids will be missed so much.

We love you, Mom.

A memorial service will be held at Fairmount Memorial Park, Sunset Chapel on Thursday, May 24, at 2 p.m.
