Marva Martin, Kim to all who knew her, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2012 at Living Springs Assisted Living in Post Falls, ID.
Born to JBT and Gladys Martin in Spokane, WA, Kim attended West Valley High and Holy Names Academy studying music in hopes of becoming a concert pianist.
Kim and family moved to California in the early ‘60’s but returned to Spokane in the mid 80’s, then later to Post Falls.
She held a variety of jobs including telephone operator, secretarial positions, nursing assistant and an undercover decoy for the police dept.
in Fresno, CA.
She enjoyed sewing, was an excellent seamstress, needlepoint, gardening, and classical music.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Dorothy Martin.
Survivors include her five children: Claudia (Ernie) Hagen, Modesto, CA, Julie (Ned) Cline, Beaumont, CA, Barry (Marti) Martin, San Diego, CA, Randy (Mary) Martin, Spokane, WA, Tracy (Sue) Martin, Coeur d’ Alene, ID; six grandchildren: Dennis, Brian, Marty Bicek, Ken McCormick, Kate and Gabe Martin; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family is truly grateful to Kim’s loving caregivers at Living Springs in Post Falls.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Coeur d’ Alene Resort Saturday, May 5, 2012 from noon to 2 PM.
Private interment was held earlier at Fairmount Memorial Park in Spokane, WA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kim’s name to your favorite charity, the SPCA, the Alzheimer’s Assoc., or your community Hospice.
