Beloved mother and grandmother, Betty Jean Shearer passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday afternoon.
Betty, a quick witted and giving woman was known for her spirit and strong will.
Her passions were canning her infamous hot mix and yard saling with her husband, but her biggest passion was her children.
She is survived by her children: Donald Patterson, Gary Patterson, Raymond Patterson, Donna Kelsey, Karl Patterson, Terry Patterson and Charles Patterson, as well as Linda Anderson.
She is also survived by her siblings Kelly Simon, Bill Weiss, and Ruby Avery.
Her many grandchildren and great grandchildren enjoyed numerous fond memories of playing at grandmas house and eating all of her popsicles.
Betty was even recently blessed with a great-great grandson.
Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Shearer, and they will be greatly missed.
To honor her, the family is hosting a Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 5th at her home on 1121 W. Dalton.
