Of Spokane WA died on Monday, April 30, 2012, at home surrounded by his family.
Born in Centralia, WA on December 19, 1929, to Margaret and Herbert Saywers.
He served in the Korean War as a combat engineer with the 7th Infantry Division earning three “Bronze Star Medals”.
He worked at EZ Loader Boat Trailers until his retirement.
He enjoyed woodworking and his family.
Robert is survived by his wife Marie; sons, Robert and his wife Darla, Dennis and his wife Sherry, John, and preceded in death by his son Steve; who is survived by his wife Connie; daughter Joy and her husband Kevin; two brothers Lee and John; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 1pm Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home.
