HANSEN, Ronald A.

Ronald A. Hansen (aka Buddha) born October 27, 1943, passed away April 27, 2012.

Ron grew up and lived in Post Falls, Idaho where he attended Post Falls High School graduating in 1962 and went to Gonzaga University for a short time.

He eventually started in labor services at Kaiser Aluminum Trentwood working his way to becoming an electrician.

Ron worked at Kaiser for 39 years before retiring in 2003.

Ron married his high school sweetheart Ramona Smith in July 1965.

They had thee children together.

Ron enjoyed camping, traveling the Oregon Coast, riding his motorcycle and he was a war history enthusiast.

The last few years he cherished the time he spent with five grandchildren.

Those who knew Ron also knew what an incredible handyman and tinkerer he was.

If he could envision it, he could build it.

He is survived by his wife Ramona Hansen of Spokane; son Jim Hansen of Post Falls; daughter and son-in-law Kelly and Terry Atkins of Post Falls; and son Bill Hansen of St. Maries; grandchildren Michael, Taylor, Cassie, Macey and Baby Carsyn.

He is also survived by his mother Elise Hansen, sister Peggy Sprankle, niece and nephew Cyndy and Scot Sprankle.

Ron was preceded in death by his father Harold and brother Harry Hansen.
