Fatal Stevens County motorcycle accident

The victim in a fatal motorcycle accident on Highway 291 in Stevens County today has been identified by the Washington State Patrol as Daniel J. Romaneschi, 56, of Spokane. The accident, which was about 14 miles north of Spokane, was reported shortly after noon today. Investigators believe Romaneschi was speeding and failed to negotiate a curve, according to a WSP press release. He was heading north when he crossed the highway and struck a guardrail on the south side of the highway and was ejected from his motorcycle.
