Sidelined Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau says forward Joakim Noah is doubtful for Game 4 today against the 76ers because of a sprained ankle. Noah got hurt midway through the third quarter of Friday night’s loss at Philadelphia. He stepped on Andre Iguodala’s foot driving the lane and crashed to the court.

Resigned NFL Alumni Association executive director and Alumni Foundation CEO George Martin resigned after holding both positions for nearly three years. The boards of directors appointed Joe Pisarcik as interim chief staff officer of each organization. Martin will stay on as an adviser over the next four to five months, the alumni association said in a statement.

Returned Quarterback Peyton Manning still feels at home in Indianapolis even though he’s part of a new team – the Denver Broncos. On Saturday, Manning returned to the city he called home for 14 years, helping to raise money for the local children’s hospital that bears his name.

Announced Arizona State basketball player Trent Lockett, the team’s leading scorer last season, says he will transfer to Marquette for his senior season to be closer to his mother, who has been diagnosed with cancer. Lockett, whose mother lives in Minnesota, already has earned a bachelor’s degree in business communication from ASU. Scheduled The NHL scheduled a hearing with Phoenix defenseman Rostislav Klesla this afternoon regarding his hit on Nashville forward Matt Halischuk in the Coyotes’ 1-0 victory in Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals. Replays showed Klesla appeared to grab the back of Halischuk’s jersey before slamming him into the boards. Nashville coach Barry Trotz called it “a dangerous hit.”

Ticketed Madison police say Wisconsin running back Montee Ball has been ticketed for trespassing during the annual Mifflin Street block party. Police spokesman Joel DeSpain says Ball was on the porch of a home and a resident didn’t want him there. DeSpain said Ball was cooperative, and alcohol wasn’t an issue. The junior was given a $429 ticket. Justin Doherty, the school’s associate athletic director, says coach Bret Bielema will likely have a conversation with his star running back over the incident.

Died Former NFL executive Dick Beam, also an assistant on two of USC’s national championship football teams, has died. He was 75. Beam died of cancer Thursday in the Riverside County city of Corona, Calif., the university said. Beam worked as an executive with the Los Angeles Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the NFL, and under college coach John McKay at USC from 1972-75.
