Eastern Washington Farm Heritage Fair – Today-Sunday. Fifth annual event presented by the Spokane Valley Heritage Museum in collaboration with the Inland Empire Steam and Gas Buffs. Celebrate the history of the Spokane Valley and support the museum fundraiser. Featuring displays and demonstrations of historic tractors, engines, farm implements, cars, trucks, tractor pulls and parades, blacksmithing, wheat threshing, cream separating, quilting, rope-making and more. Community Health Fair - Free information on health resources in our community, including behavioral health, diabetes and senior care will be offered. Garden Expo 2012 - Presented by the Inland Empire Gardeners. 250 vendors, including plant sellers, garden stores, suppliers and manufacturers, unusual perennials, heirloom vegetables, tomato plants, bulbs, hosta, succulents, annuals, trees, garden artists and crafters. Celebrate Life! Expo - More than 200 exhibitors and presenters and more than 20 free heath sceenings available. Access to experts and professionals who specialize in products and services related to aging. Spokane Junior Lilac Parade - 61st annual event and largest children’s parade in the nation, hosted by the Rotary Club of Spokane. The parade doubles as a competition for more than 8,000 middle and junior high school and elementary band and drill team members along with multiple children’s organizations within the Inland Northwest. Valleyfest Auction and Dinner - “Let’s Rock the Valley.” Silent and oral auctions, live entertainment. Dinner by Red Rock Catering. Funds raised will assist in the continuing effort to provide a free community event to the Spokane Valley and surrounding Inland Northwest. Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive - 20th annual event presented by Campbell Soup Company and the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC). Place non-perishable food items next to your mailbox Saturday for your letter carriers to pick up. Donations will be distributed to local food banks. 23rd Annual Mother’s Day Walking Tour – Friday-Sunday. Self-guided historic tour of six houses in Spokane’s Rockwood Historic District Neighborhood.
