Maxine passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 8th.
She was born in Spokane to Patrick J. McDougall and Alma J. McDougall August 25, 1928.
She married Jack E Harris and was married for 38 years and he preceded her in death in 1996.
She has resided with her daughter LeAnne for the past 14 years at Liberty Lake.
She was known for her easygoing personality, great sense of humor and love of animals.
Maxine was in the advertising business her entire career and her big claim to fame is that she was in charge of promoting the very 1st Bloomsday and got it started off on the right foot!
She also worked for Goodwill Industries doing their advertising (and more!)
for 20 years winning many local, regional and national advertising awards.
She retired in 1998.
In retirement, she has enjoyed cooking and sewing, water aerobics with her sister Patty for 14 years, being a terrific “Dog & Kitty Gramma” to Rosie and Ivy and the cats, listening to jazz, watching Gonzaga Basketball and the Mariners (when they were winning!
), watching Food Network, The Young and the Restless and her favorite, Two and a Half Men!
She is survived by daughter, LeAnne Harris, Liberty Lake, WA, son, Joseph Harris, Everett, WA, daughter, Hilary Harris and son in law, Timmy Romain, Seattle, sister, Patty Robinson, Liberty Lake, niece Sue Coyle and nephew Pat Robinson and their families.
