LEE, Doris Viola
October 31, 1913 - April 23, 2012
Doris passed away peacefully on April 23rd at the Riverview Retirement Community, where she had resided several years.
Born to Jesse Lee and Elsie Catherine Lee (Crueger), she lived almost her entire life in Spokane, graduated from North Central High in 1931, attended WSU and then business college before beginning a very long career at Montgomery Wards- Spokane in the credit department, retiring in 1979.
She was an active life-long member of Westminister Presbyterian Church, serving on session, treasurer, teaching Sunday School, and singing in the choir.
Doris had a full and rewarding life, traveled to several countries in Europe, went to Hawaii three times, but enjoyed most of her summer vacations at Priest Lake with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert Ernest Lee, sister Mary Maxine Cardella, and niece Katherine Cardella, and is survived by a niece, four nephews, and their families.
A memorial will be held Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Westminister Presbyterian Church, 2705 W. Boone Ave., Spokane, WA
