MARTIN, James P. Sr.

September 8, 1946 to
May 8, 2012

Raised in Spokane where he spent his life.

The best 46 years were spent with his wife Susan.

Jim proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1964-1969 on the USS Constellation.

The next 40 years were spent working for Cenex looking forward to retirement.

Jim’s best years were spent with his wife raising their four kids.

Hunting, camping and fishing were his favorite hobbies.

Collecting tools of every sort was his passion.

Jim was a sentimental man who saved every card, note and art project he was given.

Every child saw him as Santa and in his heart he was.

He is survived by wife Susan, his “Darlin” daughters Trish (Mike) Potts, Julie Martin-Ritz, Laura (Bud) Degele and his son, Jim (Jenny) Martin.

Grandkids were his delight.

Chris Ritz, Curtis and Chelsea Mackey, Dan and Emily Potts along with great-grandkids Joseph and Aliviah Ritz.

He leaves his sister Carolyn Rice and many other special family and friends especially Ardyce LaBrie and John Woods will miss him greatly.

Preceded by mother Ivy Dowd, father George Martin, brother Dale Martin, father-in-law Arnold LaBrie and grandson Anddrew Ritz.

Dad, your “Darlins” and “Junior” miss you.

Memorial to be held May 12, 2012 at Westminster Presbyterian Church 2705 W Boone Ave Spokane WA 99201 at 1:30 p.m. Because it is noon somewhere… in lieu of flowers please donate to the Church of the Elbow Benders and have one on Jim.
