(Age 90)

Louis M. Rasmussen, “Larry”, passed away May 4, 2012 in Spokane in the loving care of the VA/Hospice facility and family.

He was born April 12, 1922 in Eureka, CA the son of Clifford and Beatrice (Shields) Rasmussen.


Larry was a WWII veteran who survived Pearl Harbor.

He then made a 40 year career working for Otis Elevator Company.
He had many hobbies and interests including fishing, ham radio, woodworking, gardening and growing the most beautiful roses.

But above all, he was a very devoted Husband and Father.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 70 years Dorothy Rasmussen of Spokane; his children Larry Rasmussen of Spokane, Kim Frazier of Mesa, AZ, Randy (Cathy) Rasmussen of Eugene, OR, Lynne Fisher of Spokane and Kristi Rasmussen of Seattle, WA; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one brother Clifford Rasmussen of Louisiana.


Vigil rosary services will be at noon on Saturday, May 19, 2012 prior to the Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00pm, both will be conducted at Assumption Parish, 3624 W. Indian Trail Road, Spokane, with inurnment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Spokane VA Hospice Facility.
