Sad day for Cougs

With sadness and amazement I read of WSU’s termination of Jim Walden and his color commentary on Cougars football. Sadness, because I enjoyed his dialogue. Amazement, due to the total lack of class and dignity WSU undertook in notifying him of his termination.

I guess bleeding crimson and gray, coupled with being a Hall of Fame coach who took WSU to its first bowl game in 51 years, counts for nothing.

My guess is Walden is not bothered by no longer being an announcer. I’m thinking he’s hurt deeply by the complete lack of professionalism, dignity, and purported friendship WSU holds for him. Cougars pride? Seriously? I hope I’ve taught my own kids better.
