Area residents complete military training

James Fisher recently graduated from basic training at the Great Lakes Naval Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill.

Fisher is the son of Paul and Jessica Fisher, of Addy, Wash., and graduated from Westover Academy in 2010.

• Six area residents graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

Air Force Airman Chantal Maystadt is the daughter of Melody Horne, of Spokane, and Scott Maystadt, of Anacortes, Wash. She graduated in 2005 from North Central High School.

Air Force Airman Kirsten DeJong graduated from Reardan High School in 2010. She is the daughter of Todd and Rena Albertson, of Spokane.

Air Force Airman Kelly Gioja graduated in 2011 from Shadle Park High School. She is the daughter of Edward Gioja, of Spokane.

Air Force Airman Andrew White is the son of Andy and Susan White, of Spokane, and is a 2004 graduate of Shadle Park High School.

Air Force Airman Shawn Hines graduated from Valley Christian School in 2003, and is the son of James and Patricia Stephenson, of Spokane.

Air Force Airman Michael Guske is a 2006 graduate of Shadle Park High School, and is the son of Loren and Beth Guske, of Spokane.

• Two area residents graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

Army Reserve Pvt. Kiana Moreno is the daughter of Jesus and Karen Moreno, of Spokane Valley. She graduated from University High School in 2011.

Army National Guard Pvt. Jonathan Zigler is a 2011 graduate of Tonasket (Wash.) High School and is the son of Stephanie Zigler, of Spokane.

• Air National Guard Senior Airman Khelsea Sawyer, crew chief with the 168th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Eielson AFB, Alaska, graduated from Airman Leadership School at The I.G. Brown Training and Education Center, McGhee Tyson ANGB, Tenn.

She is the daughter of Cheryl Green and Bruce Adams, of Veradale.
