Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin says he will play in Game 1 of the NBA Western Conference semifinals even though Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro said the decision will be made today. Griffin said Monday he feels about “75 to 80” percent healthy after a sprained left knee sidelined the All-Star for nearly the entire fourth quarter in a Game 7 victory at Memphis on Sunday. He says rest is the only cure, but that’s a luxury the Clippers don’t have. Game 1 against the San Antonio Spurs is tonight ( 6:30, TNT). Del Negro said Griffin’s injury is the kind that might sideline him for a week if this were the regular season. – Associated Press
