HOXSEY, Katherine “Kay”
Katherine “Kay” Hoxsey, 94, was born August 1, 1917 in Butte, Montana and passed away on May 10, 2012.
Cherished daughter of Ira and Lessie Merritt and beloved wife of Douglas Hoxsey, who passed away in 1992, one month shy of their 60th wedding anniversary.
Kay is survived by two brothers Lester and Cassius Merritt; two sons Douglas and Leonard Hoxsey; one daughter Anita Murphy and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Kay’s brothers Ira J., Sylvan and Everett Merritt, as well as her youngest son Dennis Hoxsey predeceased her.
Kay was the matriarch of five generations, and the most important part of her life for her was spending time with her family.
She will be greatly missed, She will be inurned with her husband at Fairmount Memorial Park in Spokane, WA
