She was born on June 8, 1914 in Colfax, WA to parents Frank and Margaret Shafer.
Aileen graduated in 1931 from high school in Mackey, ID.
She met and married her loving husband, Herman Kinney in 1933 and they began raising their family.
Aileen enjoyed all types of art and painting, and was a very good artist.
She is survived by her daughters, Doris (Ken) Olson of Chewelah, WA and Donna (Russ) Hooper of Spokane, WA; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Aileen was preceded in death by her husband, Herman in 1998; daughter, Marilyn Kinney in 2011; one grandchild; her parents, Frank and Margaret Shafer; and her eight siblings.
The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers from Northpointe and Riverview Care Center for taking such good care of Aileen in her last years.
A Graveside service will begin at 2:30PM on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Greenwood Memorial Terrace 211 N. Government Way.
