Obituary: Prentice, James Leonard

Age 65

PRENTICE,
James
Leonard
“Jim”
(Age 65)

Jim was born March 24, 1947 and passed away May 12, 2012 from complications of diabetes.

He was born in Seattle, WA to Leonard and Mildred Prentice.

The family moved to Cheney when he was five where he spent his growing years, graduating from Cheney High School’s Class of 1965.

He married Ann (Coppay) Prentice on October 22, 1966.

He is survived by his wife Ann at their home in Sprague; brother Charles (Carol) of Cheney; his sister Barbara (Rich) Corwin of Grand Island, NE; brother Rick Prentice of Spokane; aunt Carol Jean Bengston; cousins Vern, Jerry and Linda Bengston of Spokane; cousins Ray and Gene Prentice of Moses Lake; nieces Brenda, Shelley, Barbara, Alex; nephew Mathew.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; son B.J.

and daughter Jami; sisters Mary Ford and Diane Keogh.

He put a lot of living into his short time here.

He was a good friend, good husband, good mechanic, loved the country life raising his own beef and hogs, making his own hams and bacon, enjoyed reminiscing about his years of stock car racing, his numerous lifelong friends and his many deer and elk hunting adventures.

He was just “darned near” larger than life and will be sorely missed.

Funeral Service 11AM Saturday May 19, 2012 at Heritage Chapel.
