Peacefully passed away in his home in Spokane, WA on May 7, 2012.

He was born in Sandpoint, ID on January 27, 1935.

He attended North Central High School and served in the Navy during the Korean War.

He worked for Pacific Northwest Bell/Qwest his entire life until he retired in Walla Walla, WA.

He loved golfing, fishing, sports, barbecuing, and John Wayne movies!

David was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene, who passed away in 2004, and his brother Doug.

He is survived by three children, one daughter, and two sons, and four grandchildren: Sharon Fritz and her daughter, Carly in Spokane, WA; Dan Simonson, his wife Janet, and their son Scott in Portland, OR; Ron Simonson, his wife Kellie, and their two sons Ryan and Cory from Phoenix, AZ.

Also surviving are two stepsiblings: Donna and her husband Gary from Spokane, WA, and Dick and his wife Karen, from Bellevue, WA.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:30pm, May 18, 2012, Sunset Chapel - Fairmount Memorial Park.

We will miss you, Papa, but you are now at peace and with the love of your life, your wife Marlene, and the two of you are “singing with the angels.”
