MALONEY, Scott
The precious life of Scott Maloney was cut short at the age of 42 on March 15, 2012.
As anyone who knew him will tell you, Scott touched many lives with his gentle and generous heart, his ready willingness to lend a helping hand, his patient loving kindness.
His eyes sparkled when he smiled, and that smile will be sorely missed.
Born in San Jose, California on April 24, 1970, Scott spent most of his life in the Sacramento area.
Friends remember him for his consistent support of them and his great sense of humor.
On Easter Sunday of 2007 Scott married his wife Heidi at their church in California, and three years later the couple moved to Spokane, Washington (Heidi’s hometown) to be closer to her family and get a fresh start.
During his time in Spokane he was a tremendous support for the family, particularly in helping with his father-in-law and building strong connections with the children.
Scott is survived by his wife, Heidi (McLeod) Maloney of Spokane; his mom and stepdad, Kathy and Peter Bustabade of Loomis, CA; father, Robert Maloney of Hereford, AZ; stepsister, Andrea Helmholz of Oakland, CA; and stepbrother, Peter Bustabade Jr of Reno, NV as well as three nieces and three nephews.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 19th at the Spokane Central SDA Church.
Scott was loved beyond measure; we will miss him dearly.
