Mark Brunetz, host of Style Network’s “Clean House,” will be in Spokane on Saturday at Gina’s Design Center, 811 W. Second Ave., in downtown Spokane.

The author of “Take the U Out of Clutter” will give a 45-minute presentation at 10 a.m., followed by a book signing.

“It’s not about organizing your stuff,” Brunetz said in a phone interview from Los Angeles. “It’s about organizing the stories you have attached to your stuff.

“Once people get that shift, they realize it’s no longer about the vinyl LPs or the Beanie Babies or the snow globes. It’s the story, the ‘I might need it one day’ or the ‘I’d feel guilty if I got rid of that.’ I hit those stories head on.”
