HAM, Tye Robert “The Cowboy”
12/16/1980 - 5/5/2012

Tye was a celebration of life!

During his 31 years (December 16, 1980 to May 5, 2012) Tye Lived every moment of every day to the fullest.

Even on the day of his death when an unexpected boating accident occurred, ending in a severe head injury that took his life, Tye was surrounded by friends; living life carefree and happy.


Tye was born Tuesday, Dec. 16, 1980 to Norris and Tammy Ham.

Growing up in Greenacres, Washington; Tye is described as a ‘free spirited’ young man, inventive and “Never a dull moment”.

For several years Tye competed in the 4-H club where he raised and managed award - winning lambs.

His other great passion was racing quads.

His enthusiasm and love for riding soon shared by his parents.

Tye continued to excel his passion for riding by racing competitively.

Tye’s Dad, Norris Ham, was proud to watch his son win the 2008 SuperMoto Challenge just before his own death in 2008.

In honor of his dad, Tye redesigned his quad as a tribute and, in 2009, won the 09’ SuperMoto Challenge again in his dad’s name.

Among his educational accomplishments Tye held a degree in Hydraulic Pneumatic Automation Technology, earning his A.A.S., A.A., and SCC; and was both a CFPPS Pneumatic specialist & CFPHS Hydraulic Specialist.


2011 marked two great milestones in Tye’s life; The first was landing an exceptional position at SunSource as the MEC Marketing Manager in Dallas Texas.

Here, Tye exceeded expectations by offering unique and innovative solutions in a company that lead the way in industrial and mobile fluid power productivity.

The second was meeting, & winning the heart of his fiancĂŠe Alicia Marie Uhrich, the love of his life.

She shared his passion for adventure & Love of Life. “

His & Her” Quads, was only the beginning.


Among many outstanding qualities, Tye was above all a “Do’er”!

He never waited for his ship to come in, he swam out to it!

His friends and family describe him as ‘Intense, Loyal, Very Family Oriented, had a Giving Heart, Outgoing personality and someone who made a positive difference in the lives he touched!

His smile was contagious.’

As Alicia described Tye was: “A Man that filled My Life with Laughter, Smiles, Adventure, & Tender Love and Care!

That man was not boring!

He Gave Me The Ride Of My Life!


Tye was preceded in death by his Dad- Norris Ham, Grandparents- Bob and Maxene Pennick , and brother-in-law- Matt Morefield.

He will be truly missed by his Mother- Tammy, Sister- Kathy and her husband - Johnny Calais, Brother- Frank; Nephews: Wade Ham and Nick Calais.

Nieces: Lindsey and Shaley Ham, and Ashleigh Calais.

Cousins: Monte Sutton, Kami Grafiada and family.

Lifelong Friends: Josh Lamb and Kevin Cooper, friend Ray Thomas and survived by his fiancĂŠe Alicia Marie Uhrich, her parents, Norma and Earl Uhrich, and brother Justin, “His Texas Family”.
