Obituary: Harmon, Aaron Robert

Age 30

HARMON,
Aaron Robert

On May 19, our son, brother, uncle, friend, neighbor and teacher, Aaron Robert Harmon, left us for a wonderful space in the universe, where he will walk, talk, dance, sing and run.

He left us with a deep and abiding appreciation for our ability to do all those things.

He left his mother, Leanne Johns, with the completely foreign realities of sleeping through the night and going to the grocery store without hours of planning, and with an ache in her heart and the innate desire to go right back to the life that they have led for nineteen years.

He has left his nieces, Kellee and Katee Vanhook, and nephew, Kade Paplinski, with wonderful memories, life lessons and a deep appreciation for the little things in life that most people take for granted.

He has left his sisters, Heather Drollinger, Sara Paplinski (Bryan) and Corin Brynmor, with bigger hearts, a deep and abiding respect for possibilities and a love for family that knows no bounds.

Aaron lived at St. Anne’s Children’s Home for most of his first twelve years.

He joined our family on September 17, 1993 and was formally adopted on February 14, 2002.

His laughter, smile, wit and sneaky sense of humor made him a joy to live with.

He leaves behind an enormous group of teachers, medical professionals and case workers who supported him and his family and made his life possible.

He loved The Full Monty , roller coasters, and watching hockey and the Seattle Mariners with Uncle Paul.

He enjoyed reminding us that he was the baby of the family.

He was preceded in death by Jason Keller, the brother of his heart, and many of his St. Anne’s family.

Aaron, we have kept you for our own for many years; you have touched the lives of countless people and now you belong to the world.

Swing for the fence, Baby Brudder, and take two trips around the bases just because you can.

Aaron’s favorite charities are Vanessa Behan, Make A Wish or any animal rescue.

A celebration of Aaron’s life will be held this summer.
