Mountain Goat 10K race scheduled for June 2

The 2012 Glenrose Mountain Goat Challenge 10K road race will take place on June 2. Check-in will begin at 7 a.m. at Chase Middle School, 4747 E. 37th Ave. The race will start at 8 a.m.

The race course snakes its way up toward the summit of Tower Mountain. Runners and hikers gain 660 feet before the turn-around point. Cost to register is $30.

The race is organized by the Glenrose Community Association. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery and Shriners Hospitals for Children.
