Maybe the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder will finally get a challenge this time. Both teams have simply rolled toward the Western Conference finals that begin today ( 5:30 p.m. on TNT). The Spurs are on an 18-game winning streak, and Oklahoma City and San Antonio are a combined 17-1 in the playoffs. The top-seeded Spurs clobbered Utah and the Los Angeles Clippers by an average of 14 points a game. They’re one victory from tying the 2001 Lakers for the longest winning streak kept alive in a postseason. The Thunder have already sent home the previous two NBA champions, Dallas and the Lakers. – Associated Press
