Motorcyclist injured in crash with deer

 

A 65-year-old man was injured Sunday when his motorcycle struck a deer on Highway 395.

Duane M. Trost, of Loon Lake, was riding his 1982 Yamaha motorcycle north when he hit a deer at the intersection of 12 Mile Road in Stevens County, according to Washington State Patrol.

The crash was reported to police at 3:23 p.m.

Trost, who was wearing a helmet, was flown by MedStar helicopter to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center, where he remained in the emergency room Sunday night.
