BLANDY,
Marion T.

Died peacefully on May 19, 2012 on Bainbridge Island, WA.

She was 84 years old.

She was born on July 27, 1927 in Spokane to Daniel and Joan Helen (Sinclair) Mangan.

She was the third of six children.

Marion attended Holy Names Academy in Spokane.


Throughout her life she lived in Spokane, WA, Longview, WA, the Seattle area, Helena, MT, Portland, OR and Poulsbo, WA.

She worked as a secretary.

Marion loved gardening, singing, dancing and playing cards.

She is survived by sisters, Rosemary (Lyle) Miller and Patricia Herberholz and brother, John (Jean) Mangan of Spokane.

Marion had six children: David Gregory of Spokane, WA, Daniel (Devin) Norman of Wenatchee, WA, Michael Veasey of LaFayette, TN, Marilou (Steve Stone) Duncan of Poulsbo, WA, Douglas Blandy (Deceased), and Daryl (Michelle) Blandy of Washougal, WA.

Grandchildren: Kieren and Terran Gregory; Chad, Andy, Joshua and Ryan Norman; April, Alex and Aubree Ball; Lauren and Areielle Blandy; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers,Richard and Daniel Mangan; son, Doug Blandy and granddaughters, Kirsha Gregory and Chelsea Ball.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 4th, at 1 p.m., at Sunset Chapel, Fairmount Cemetery, 5200 W. Wellesley, Spokane, WA.

Donations in her name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc.
