Patricia Nadine Kimmons, age 86, born November 26, 1925, died May 21, 2012.

Patricia was born to Floyd B. Colerick and Ione J. Colerick, November 26, 1925 in Norman Oklahoma.


She grew up in Eugene Oregon and graduated Eugene High School in 1943.

She worked at 1st National Bank in Eugene until she married James Norman Balfour in 1948 and moved to Spokane Washington.

They had two sons Paul James Balfour and Jeffery Brian Balfour.

Patricia had an extensive banking career in Spokane with Lincoln Mutual Savings.

She married Richard Kimmons November 10, 1984 and survived him after his death in 2003.

She is survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren
Patricia served as a volunteer for Washington DSHS Child Protective Services for 20+ years and received awards from Washington State and the White House for Volunteer Service.

She participated and walked in Spokane’s Bloomsday race into her late 80’s.

Patricia believed that being of service to her community was important and necessary.


A memorial service will be held on June 1st, 11am at the Lidgerwood Presbyterian Church, 4449 N. Nevada, Spokane WA 99207.
