Ramona Jean

Ramona Jean Sandon, 83, passed away May 22, 2012 at Sunshine Gardens Nursing Facility, Spokane Valley, WA.

Ramona was born August 27, 1928 in Seattle, WA to George and Myrtle Thompson.



She is survived by her loving husband of sixty years, Jean O. Sandon; daughter Betsy and son-in-law Mark Wallace of Medical Lake; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Gladys Hein of Seattle; Marsha Hill of Mountlake Terrace; and sister-in-law Reva Nichols of Cottonwood, CA.

Ramona was preceded in death by her beloved son, Scott O. Sandon, brothers, George, Robert, and Rodney Thompson, and sister, Myrtle Bond.



Ramona received her diploma from Ballard High School in 1946.

She graduated from the Columbia Basin College Department of Nursing in 1969, and enjoyed many years working as a registered nurse.

Ramona will be remembered as a giving person with sparkly blue eyes.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She enjoyed family gatherings, and took great pleasure in preparing wonderful meals for her loved ones.



Funeral services are Friday, June 8, 10:00 a.m. at Fairmount Memorial Park Chapel in Spokane, WA.
