Obituary: Stender, John Alan
Age 75
John is now up on the farm with his best friend Darrel and son Doug getting the spring work done.
John Alan Stender was born on June 23, 1936 and passed away May 22, 2012.
He was the son of Carl and Norma Stender of Fairfield, WA.
He graduated from Fairfield High School.
In 1956 he married Carolyn York and they raised five children together, Carl (Debbie) of Archer City, TX, Jay of Mesa, AZ, Ellen Brown and Scott of Spokane Valley.
He worked 17 years on the Great Northern and Burlington Northern Railroad.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Ed Stender and son Doug Stender.
John will be remembered for his sense of humor and his convictions and passions were a strength for his friends and all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA 99206.
