One person missing in Columbia River boating accident

VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) — Two adults have been rescued and one juvenile male is still missing after their recreational boat sank on the Columbia River in Camas, Wash. The Clark County Sheriff’s Office says the boat had been carrying just three people, not four as previously believed, when it went down around 10 a.m. Monday. The two adults were rescued and treated for exposure. Rescue crews from several agencies in Washington state and Oregon are searching for the missing juvenile. Authorities believe he was not wearing a life jacket. A witness reported seeing the small watercraft which was anchored become entangled in the anchor line and overturn, tossing the boaters in the water. This happened near Lady Island in Camas.
