Robert E. “Buzzy”

Born January 31, 1931 in Spokane and passed away at the age of 81 on May 26, 2012.

A life long resident of Spokane, graduated from West Valley High School.

He and his wife traveled often after retiring as Captain of Spokane Valley Fire Dept.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Edith Hanson and his granddaughter Heidi Hanson.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart Dolores who he was married to for 61 years and his children Mike Hanson (Cyndi), Diana Tesdal (Alvin), John Hanson (Kim) and grandsons: Robert, Kevin, and Chad, and granddaughters: Kristi and Holly, and six great grandchildren.

He is also survived by his siblings: Donald Hanson (Betty), Dale Hanson, Gail Dixon, and Kay Clarke (Bill), and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
An avid fisherman and hunter, Bob loved the outdoors and especially boating.

He built many boats and recently finished a 17’ kayak.

He also enjoyed golfing, biking, and playing poker.

He loved being with his family.

His inner strength was felt by all.
He was a man of few words whose integrity spoke for him.
A memorial service will be held at Advent Lutheran Church, 13009 E Broadway, Spokane Valley, WA at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 2, 2012.
